SCAF CONFLICT OF INTEREST POLICY

     

  1. No swimming official shall conduct any business/enterprise activity which may be construed in any way as a conflict of interest for a period of from two hours prior to, continuing throughout. to two hours after completion of any swimming competition at which he/she is working as an official.

  3. Whenever an official is working at a school which he/she is on the faculty or staff, or which a child or close relative is a student, this fact must he known to any and all coaches involved. The official shall obtain prior mutual consent from said coaches in order to be able to officiate at that meet.

 

OC SCAF CONFLICT OF INTEREST POLICY

Under normal circumstances, officials shall not be assigned to varsity dual meets involving schools where he/she is on the faculty or staff, or at which his/her child is a student. Should an official be assigned to such a meet, he/she shall obtain mutual consent from each coach prior to officiating the meet. Only in the extremely rare cases shall an official be assigned to dual league meets at schools which be/she is on the faculty or staff, or his/her child is student. He/she shall obtain written prior mutual consent from the Athletic Directors prior to prior to the date of the meet, if possible. Otherwise, the official shall not officiate the meet.
